Introduction

Master ‘s Degree Programme was initiated in 2003 in afliliation with the university of the Punjab. It provides the students with an opportunity to groom and develop their personalities with a dynamic scheme of studies and through study tours, seminars, lectures, organizing events and other co-curricular activities.

Presently college is offering two master degree Programmes:

1. M.A. (EDUCATION)

2. M.ED. (GENERAL)

1. MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION (M.A. EDUCATION)

This programme was initiated in 2003. It is a 14+2 model and specially designed for In service and Pre-service teachers. This programme caters the needs of teacher who have special interest in the area of humanities. Through this programme, competencies and skills are developed in the field of school administration, classroom teaching and curriculum designing.

PART 1 (DURATION 1 YEAR)

Each prospective teacher shall complete six week teaching practice.RULES FOR TEACHING PRACTICE (Paper 4 & 5)

  • Teaching practice will be observed in relevant subjects of elementary/secondary level.
  • P.T shall plan and teach minimum l00 lessons (50 in each subject).
  • P.T shall organize 5 co-curricular activities in family school (with the permission of the head of the school).
  • Co-operating teacher from the family school shall award marks out of 25 in each subject at the closure of the practice.
  • P.T will plan and deliver two model lessons (one for each optional subject) at elementary/secondary level after university exam which will be observed and evaluated by external examiner appointed by university of the Punjab. The external examiner will award marks out of 25 to each model lesson.
