Admission Procedure
a. The admission notice is advertised in the press well before the
start of each programme.
b. Application forms can be obtained from the college during office
hours before or on the closing date on payment.
c. For more than one
program/category separate admission forms are to be submitted.
d. After the closing date, the list of selected candidates will be
displayed on the college notice board for interview.
e. After interviews, merit lists for different categories will be
displayed on the college notice board.

According to the approved admission policy, the allocation of
available seats for each academic programmes is as follows:

Note: Third divisions are not eligible.
RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADMISSION
1. Those applying for more than one program should
use a separate application form.
2. Those applying against more than one categories
should use a separate application forms.
3. All seats are filled on basis of merit within each
category.
4. Government/In-Service candidates should route
their applications through proper channel. In case of selection, a serving
candidate is required to produce study leave certificate, otherwise his/her
admission will stand cancelled.
5. A selected candidate has to submit his/her
Migration Certificate (within I0-days of Admission) from the relevant
Board/University, which is not within the jurisdiction of University of the
Punjab.
6. A candidate applying for B.Ed programe has passed
B.A/B.Sc, or a candidate applying for the Master Degree Programe has passed
B.A./B.Sc./B.Ed./ B.S.Ed, from a University other than University of the Punjab
will have to submit equivalence certificate from University of the Punjab, as
per requirement of University of the Punjab.
7. A candidate applying for admission in Diploma in
Education has to submit Migration Certificate from the relevant Board, if
he/she has passed F.A/F. Sc. examination from a board other than F.B.I.S.E,
Islamabad.
8. Guardianship certificate issued from Guardian
Court will only be acceptable.
9. Only those candidates are eligible for admission
to B.Ed., M.Ed. and M.A.Education who have studied at least two school subjects
as elective subjects at B.A./B.Sc. or F.A./F.Sc level.
10. Teaching experience in Govt. /Semi
Govt./Recognized Institutions will be counted.
11. Age relaxation will be given to In-service teacher
candidates, who are B.Ed./B.S.Ed. and have three years regular/permanent
teaching experience in Govt. /Semi Govt./Recognized institutions after passing
B.Ed./B.S.Ed.Such candidates have to submit their service certificates along
with their applications for admission in one year Master degree Programme i.e.
M.Ed.
12. In-Service teachers should apply through proper
channel, advance copy will not be acceptable.
13. Preference will be given for admission to one year
Master Degree programme, to those candidates who hold Master Degree in addition
to B.Ed and B.S. Ed in School Subjects.
14. Age and required qualification for all academic
programmes are given in the above table
15. In case of a tie between two or more candidates
having equal merit, their merit will be determined on the basis of age. (The
older will be selected)
16. The candidate holding B.Ed degree is not eligible
to apply in M.A (Education).
17. The candidate holding M.A Education degree is not
eligible to apply in B.Ed.
18. As per rules of the Punjab University and H.E.C a
candidate who has passed Master in any subject as a regular student from any
institution can not be admitted to any other course of equivalent level. (i.e.
M.A. Education)
19. As per notification No. 50(A-1) (7-10/97) dated
05-10-2000 of Higher Education Department Government of Punjab and communicated
by University of the Punjab, a session gap of last two years for boys and a
session gap of last five years for girls will only be acceptable for admission.
Session gap of a time period more than mentioned above will render an applicant
ineligible for admission to any University degree program.
20. If any student has qualified additional subject(s)
other than those normally required, marks obtained in the additional subject(s)
will not count towards determining his / her merit.
21. Technical graduates having degree/diploma in
Engineering, medicine, veterinary science, technology, commerce, agriculture,
law, library science and journalism will not be eligible for admission.
22. Candidates convicted by a court of law in any
offense other than minor ones and those who have been retired compulsorily or
been terminated from the service will not be eligible for admission.
23. Part time admission are not allowed in any case.
24. A student studying at FCE cannot take admission in
any other institution and vice versa, during the period of course he/she is
studying in.
25. A student at FCE can take admission in any course
other than he/she is studying in, subject to the condition that he/she quits
the course he/she already studying in, provided that he/she is eligible.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO DIFFERENT
CATEGORIES:
1. Category A(Open Merit): All candidates are eligible.
2. Category-B (Islamabad District): A candidate having domicile
of Islamabad District or a candidate who himself /herself OR his /her father/
mother/guardian is a Federal Government Employee OR posted in Islamabad
District,is eligible. (Attach a copy of domicile of Islamabad District OR
Original Service Certificate as per given specimen,
OR
Guardianship
Certificate from guardian court.
3. Category-C (Disable): A candidate having any prominent
physical disability is eligible. (Attach certificate of disability from
National Council for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons, Islamabad.)
4. Category-D (Co-curricular Activities): A candidate having
certificate of merit in sports/co-curricular activities, at
district/inter-collegiate intermediate level, is eligible. (Attach copies of
relevant certificates). They are required to represent college team in all
activities and prove their merit.
5. Category-E (FCE): An employee of Federal College of Education
or his/her wife/husband, son/daughter/real sister/real brother is eligible.
(Attach original documentary proof of relationship with the candidate)
6. Category-F (Nominations): Regular teachers serving under the Directorate of Education FATA, GB , Cantts and Garrisons, PAF and Federal Directorate of Education fulfilling the admission criteria of relevant programme are eligible. (Nomination from the concerned directorate is compulsory)
IN ELIGIBILITY:
The admission committee
reserves the right to reject the candidature of a candidate if:
1. His/Her documents are short or false.
2. He/She does not have aptitude for
teaching.
3. His/Her conduct shown in the character
certificate is not good.
4. His/Her conduct shown in the character
certificate is not good.
5. He/She has 3’“ division in entry
qualification for any program.
6. He/She does not fulfill any other
requirement, specified by the committee.
7. He/She submits application afier the due
date.
8. He/She submits application on old
typed/photocopy form.
9. He/ She does not appear for the interview
on the notified date.
10. He/She does not deposit
the college dues by the fixed date.
11. A graduate candidate
will not be eligible for B.S.Ed program.
12. A candidate holding
B.A/B. Sc degree without English, will not be eligible for admission to B.Ed and Master degree
programmes.
13. He/She was expelled or
banned from the entry in any college/university campus for any reason, what so ever, at any time during
his/her academic career.
ATTESTED COPIES OF THE
FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS SHOULD BE ATTACHED
WITH THE APPLICATION FORM:
1. Candidate’s NIC (In case
a candidate is below 18 years, B Form, Parent’s/Guardian’s)
2. Certificate &
transcripts from SSC to the entry qualification.
3. Hafiz-e-Qura’an
certificate, if the candidate is a Hafiz-e-Quran.
4. Character certificate
from the institution last attended.
5. For categories B, C, D,
E and F relevant certificates.
6. Four recent l x l size photographs with
blue background attested on backside.
7. Any other document asked
from time to time.
