Prof Muhammad Rafique Tahir

Muhammad Rafique Tahir is a Professor of Economics. He graduated from International Islamic University Islamabad in 1986 and joined the Federal government as an educationist in 1987. He worked in different public sector organizations as leader i.e., Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), National Educational Institute of Science and Technology (NIST). He also worked as a director, Federal College of Education (FCE) from Jan-2010 to March-2011. His rich managerial and administrative experience, particularly in educational management and teacher training was extremely beneficial for the institution. He focused his efforts to improve the academic culture of FCE along with the infrastructure, and physical facilities took a lot of new initiatives for the institution. He initiated specialized In-service training in Early ChildHood (ECE), Mathematics and English Language. He established a computer lab with 50 computers. He also tried to upgrade the institution as Degree Awarding Institution. During his tenure he proved to be an energetic and smart educational leader.He had good engaging and utilizing skills with reference to human and material resources of FCE.
